While taking a little time to unwind, I’ve been watching some hilarious films, such as Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy - a man with, “a voice that could make a wolverine purr and suits so fine they made Sinatra look like a hobo.” Not only were the characters and lines so outrageously entertaining, but the clothing was ridiculous as well! From Veronica Corningstone’s white polyester jumpsuit to Wes Mantooth’s neon coral jacket and tie combo, the style is truly that legendary 1970's glamour.
It all reminded me of recent interview I saw of Madonna talking with Isaac about the '70's and the inspiration behind her newest album, Confessions on a Dance Floor. Unfortunately, I completely missed the days of the disco era, but was able to step inside the infamous Studio 54 a few years ago to watch Molly Ringwald star in the stage version of Cabaret on Broadway. That’s a throwback.
