I saw "Heracles to Alexander the Great," the most exquisite exhibition, in Oxford, of ancient Greek jewelry and royal burial items; I cannot forget how gold it was! And stunning. I went through the show at least three times. And I very much enjoyed "The Cult of Beauty: The Aesthetic Movement 1860-1900" show at the V&A. Which is a roundabout way of saying that when Chanel debuted these sandals inspired by Byzantine Empress Theodora, I was disposed. I summon them in black and gold.
[Sandals, $1495 at Chanel]
Windowlicker - from the French for window shopping: faire du lèche-vitrine - often appears on Tuesday and Thursdays at 10am EST-ish.
