I got in, checked my mail and put two books I'd ordered next to my still full bag from this weekend (to go in it for next weekend) and flipped through some catalogs while my farm fresh dinner simmered on the stove (I know, I'm so country!) and well, it comes down to: I can buy the things I have my eye on, or keep them in the realm of make-believe and go on vacation, like a real one, not half-life in a pretty place glancing at my BlackBerry every ten minutes and you can reach me anytime at all... I think I'll keep my options open for the time being, but man, what I wouldn't do for:
...a vintage guitar with roses on it! [Starting bid $60, at ebay]
A Midsummer Night's Dream let out around nine last night, and it was Saturday night in a small town and I was by myself with no plans so I did what any sensible person would do-- I ran into TJ Maxx before closing and bought some lovely underthings. Thing is, I'm back in New York without a drawer in the place:
[Daniella Chest in Zen Brown, $599 at Pottery Barn]
