Today I went by my friend Tunji's shop to say hello and of course ended up dressing the mannequin in the window, a few in the boutique, and pulling all the gorgeous artisanal one-offs from the racks in the atelier and moving them up front. And making kissyfaces with the cutest little thing I've ever seen. There's a big sale on and the place looks smashing, so do stop by if you're in NoHo. Here's a note I sent to a few friends:
Because people always ask (and I think you're stylish enough to share my secrets with)... chances are if you've admired anything I've worn in the past six months, it came from my friend Tunji's shop on Bond Street where he designs avant-garde clothing with his Tokyo by way of Lagos and London fashion-forward sensibility and emphasis on handmade textiles. Everything is extremely affordable because he is an independent designer who sells mostly wholesale and to friends. That's also where I got my chartreuse vintage coat and all those cuff bracelets he had made in Istanbul. And the handmade heels he made with an Italian cobbler friend (haven't worn those yet; they're a bit teeter-y). And he has a french bulldog. XX, LC.

This is a small, small world, Ms. LC. I met Tunji once because he is friends with my cousin. I was there after hours and he was dressing a doe-eyed waif in very fabulous attire. I love the back room, the patterns everywhere, the old sewing machines, the works. I am not surprised that you have been there, too!
