This week's Windowlicker guest editor is the eminently cool Dallas Hudgens (dallashudgens.com), author of the novels Drive Like Hell and Season of Gene (both of which I'm currently publicizing). I love that his pick for today is a 'sneaker freaker' objet worthy of Tokyo, where I am at the moment!
Puma Clyde Gum Soles: A simple take on the classic Clyde profile. The gum sole calls to mind the Adidas Samba, but the shoe definitely has Clyde style. Just like NBA all-time great Walt "Clyde" Frazier, this shoe's on-court heyday was during the 1970s. Not too many basketball players wear low tops anymore. Gilbert Arenas wears cool Adidas low tops.
Windowlicker - from the French for window shopping: faire du lèche-vitrine - appears on Tuesday and Thursdays at 10am EST-ish.
