The chief perk of attending Book Expo America (BEA) is free books. Carrying them is tiresome, however, so I usually demur in favor of requesting them later. Physics aside, some titles that I couldn't help picking up for pleasure: ULULU (which I gave away by the end of the night to a friend working on a Dada-inspired collection; Me: Have you heard of Elsa Von Freytag- Loringhoven?), The Raw Shark Texts, The Interloper, and one with the most arresting cover I have ever seen, The Driftless Area. All irresistibles!
Previously: Book Expo Field Notes No. 1.
And the Drury is a fantastic book as well!
