If I were to collect anything, it would probably be old silver regatta trays. They're unique and collectible -- but not impossible to find in charity shops, or outrageously expensive -- and best of all, they remind me of that quintessential last line of The Great Gatsby: "So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."
