After work I'm off for a couple of days of R&R in one of my favorite places with America's Sweetheart. Maybe: dinner at the Inn at Easton, viewing "The Art of Collaboration: Works from the National Gallery of Art’s Gemini G.E.L. Archive" at the local art museum, taking a "Wild Pony Watching Wildlife Cruise"! Definitely: a little ragpicking for glamour, hanging out, and just driving around.
My hotly anticipated travel reading includes an advance copy of Jami Attenberg's novel, The Kept Man, Twentieth Century German Poetry, and the new issues of Marie Claire and the Paris Review. And I'd like to pick up the Litblog Co-op's pick, Wizard of the Crow, by Ngugl wa Thiong’o when I get the chance.
If I were staying in New York you know where I'd be this evening:
Jim Avignon, Deutsches Haus, and the German Book Office present
To celebrate the release of the movie "Perfume"
Based on the best-selling novel by Patrick Sueskind
With Special Guests:
CB (CB I Hate Perfume Williamsburg)
Fehmi Baumbach, Cassis, and DJ Maxx Klaxon
Bon weekend, doves. Back Monday(ish).
Very much enjoyed the time I spent reading and looking around your site...as a poet and an avid reader, I found it a most rewarding look. Thank you...
