It's not my preference, obviously, but I've been in public relations long enough now to occasionally have more than one client-related event on the same day! Tonight, I have two, and they're both worth attending, so that's my plan. I'll be at "Green by Design" at Makor, the Upper West Side branch of the 92nd Street Y, for the first half of the discussion featuring Robert Frenay, design trend dynamo and author of Pulse, in conversation about next-wave environmental culture with Lux Lotus fave Bryan Keefer and guests.
Then, I'll jump in a cab to dash downtown for a celebratory drink with Katharine Weber at the Tenement Museum's cocktail party in honor of the publication of Triangle (Check out the glowing review on NPR's Fresh Air today, wherein "beauty" and "structurally dazzling" are invoked).
Needless to say, I highly recommend both events, as each is about as close to perfection as it gets in terms of the ideal cultural experience in New York! (Want to review one of these books for an online media outlet, e.g. your own blog or a site that you contribute to? You know what to do, doves).
