Yesterday, I sat down at my desk and got ready for a full day of projects. With laser-like intensity, I focused on my to-do list, which had steadily crept from one to two pages and felt like it was beginning to twine around the legs of my chair like some enchanted vine from Sleeping Beauty.
And then... my phone literally started ringing off my hook...and didn't stop all day. It was all work-related, and all very productive, but still... I had a very pleasant little daydream in between calls about finding a unexpected box on my doorstep, wrapped up in glossy red paper with a big white bow.
Inside, I'd find a tiny, precious bottle of Rich Hippie "Organic, Wildcrafted Perfume" in Maharishi ("Soft alluring and spiritual. A complex floral with notes of Davana, Vetivert and spiritual flowers of India.") [1/2 ounce, $85],

Some highly intriguing poetry chapbooks [Down Spooky by Shanna Compton, and Species by Michael Friedman]:

A pretty purse for my passport [Blue Joaquim Bag from mirna's etsy shop, $40]

And, enclosed in the perfect correspondence card ["Indigo Blossoms" from Brookfield Letterpress, $14.50 for eight cards and eight envelopes, or something similarly stylish] from a divine friend....
...a plane ticket to somewhere, anywhere, far-flung, gorgeous and blue.
How about you, daydreamer -- what sort of magic would you conjure on your doorstep?
Windowlicker - from the French for window shopping: faire du lèche-vitrine - appears on Tuesday and Thursdays at 10am EST.
