Today's selection is a pair of hand-carved frames from vintage tortoise, at Selima Optique. $3,000. From T Magazine.
It doesn't mention the style, although I believe it's "Yoko," which is
a very flattering shape that I used to wear. My pair was made of some sort of plastic-resin material, which had a nice weight to
it, and the charming thing about them was that they appeared black from
a distance but were actually a deep, midnight blue.
P.S. Other than the above gem, I take back the nice things I said about T Magazine.
The current issue is conscientiously trendy, edited in a sloppy
manner and full of boring yet carefully-cultivated
"personalities."
Windowlicker - from the French for window shopping: faire du lèche-vitrine - appears on Tuesday and Thursdays at 10am EST.
