- Continuing my recent reading-for-pleasure / abiding literary obsession-with-The Secret Life of The Lonely Doll.... (the story of stylish childrens' book author, Dare Wright) news on the film (!) [ via romancing the tome] and an essay by Jean Nathan.
- My fave "Shaded View on Fashion" guestblogger, Dino Dinco, calls out the Paris scene: "There doesn't seem to be much of a homo alterna-rock or homo hip hop scene in Paris, which I find a bit surprising in a city with so many homos (or guys who look like homos)."
- Intriguing? "Now you can speak your own sweet mind on M&Ms..."
- I thrifted a new satchel at the local Op Shop while I was in suburban Maryland. It's a vintage Coach design, the gorgeous old kind with its own number stamped on the inside pocket. Blissfully, it's nothing like the gauche disposable fashion Reed "Too much good taste is boring" Krakoff and company have increasingly embraced in recent years (pictured above on one of my Marimekko chairs).
I started reading "The Secret Life" this weekend at your suggestion and I am really enjoying it so far!
Thank you so much!
