On Publicity

This spring, I'll be speaking at Book Promotion 101 in New York (March), the Virginia Festival of the Book (March), the Pilcrow Lit Fest in Chicago (May) and at the Nebraska Summer Writers Conference (June). At present, my attitude is that I will accept almost any intriguing speaking invitation in 2008 and then, I think, no more. I will go and be scarce for a while-- just the thought relaxes me! I am also delighted to report that I will be doing an online workshop on "Innovative Publicity Basics" in July that will cost just $20. It will be light and breezy but rigorous and informative; the perfect summer intro or refresher to prep for an action-packed fall, and beyond. Basically, it's a one-time public service, so please take advantage of the opportunity if it would be helpful to you. I haven't decided whether/when to cap enrollment, so do sign up ASAP if interested.
