Got in earlier tonight and enjoyed a leisurely dinner at Zucco right off and it was delicious and so nice to to have a "porter" afterwards but already I am so sleeeeepy with no idea how long I've been awake-- only that I woke up this morning in Tokyo and now I am very very tired in New York, and really that might have been yesterday what with the twelve-hour flight that took off at 5:50 and landed at 5:30. Before I tuck in for the evening and as much of tomorrow morning as I care to linger in the stuff of dreams, I thought I'd stave off the post-holiday-ish blues with a little Lux Lotus reader appreciation! --One of my favorite things. I am breathlessly anticipating next Monday's edition of The Reader's Room at Mo Pitkin's, featuring Dallas Hudgens, author of Drive Like Hell and Season of Gene, and one of my PR clients, with Patrick Hughes of "Bad News" fame and it's all so devastatingly enticing that I can't hardly wait. Since I just walked by a stack of Dallas' new novel, Season of Gene (excerpt at FANZINE), on my way to make a cup of tea, I was thinking it would be nice to share the love: I'm giving away a free copy of Season of Gene to the first five readers who send me an email with the subject HELL YEAH, and for winners outside of New York, I'll even get it signed for ya on Monday.

Clubs are boring. Booze and raging hormones-BLAH !
