I've never been a jeans woman and it's not a look I prize on men, either. I'll even confess to buying Men's Vogue just to steam up the glossy finish with my kitten breath as I idly flip through pages of suited-up models and match the male gaze shot for shot. Er, for the articles. With Hedi Slimane's high profile departure dominating headlines in the fashion world, the aspirational outfit for boys will likely no longer be the famed Dior Homme skinny suit. So what next? Enter Thom Browne's new "Black Fleece" collection for Brooks Brothers (in stores Fall 2007), a collaboration that Anna Wintour herself is said to have brokered. Another pioneer of a new silhouette, Browne's twist on classic tailoring might be just what the doctor ordered for the venerable but ailing American retailer. According to men.style.com: "prices not yet set, but expect to pay significantly more than normal Brooks prices, owing to the high level of hand-tailoring."
